Cầu Giấy
Cầu Giấy which was established in 1996 is an urban district of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The district is named after the historic bridge where the famous 19th-century Battle of Cầu Giấy (Paper Bridge) was fought.
Cau Giay is the cradle of civilization and traditional crafts villages. Buoi village was famous for paper making and silk weaving. The green sticky rice of Vong village has long been an autumn delicacy of Hanoi for a thousand year.
Many urban areas are located in Cau Giay. Among them, Trung Hoà - Nhân Chính, emerges as the new city's commercial center lying partly in the southern part of the district (Trung Hoà ward). The modern urban livings, Indochina Plaza Hanoi, Richland Southern, Somerset Hoa Binh, etc. with so many beautiful apartments are also located in this area.
There are a lot of the restaurants in Cau Giay district which you can be found real Vietnamese cuisine such as Dong Son Drum restaurant on Tran Dang Ninh Street, Thuy Trieu Do with seafood at 391 Nguyen Khang Street, Ngu Binh restaurant at 83 Xuan Thuy Street, etc.
